Share a nanny with the family down the road
Pairfold matches Chiswick families who want to share one nanny, one home at a time. You stay anonymous until you choose to meet, at a public place in daylight.

Be one of the first families
The sooner neighbours join, the sooner everyone finds a match. Joining is free, takes a minute, and you stay anonymous. Pairfold Chiswick covers W4 and the neighbouring parts of W3, W6 and TW8.
How it works
No accounts, no names, no messages to type. You choose from simple options at every step, so there's nothing personal for anyone to see until you meet.
Answer six questions
Your area, your child's age, the days you need, when you'd start and whether you could host. You get a code name, like Willow Heron, and a private link.
See who fits
Families nearby with overlapping days and children of a similar age. Tap "Interested" on any that look right.
Pick a first meet-up
When you're both interested, choose a public place from our list and a daytime slot.
Meet, then decide
Grown-ups only the first time. If it feels right, swap numbers and find your nanny together.
What would you pay?
Sharing usually means paying the nanny a bit more per hour, split between two employers. Each family also gets its own employer National Insurance allowance, which is why the saving is bigger than a straight half.
Uses 2026/27 rates: 15% employer National Insurance above £5,000 a year per employer, and an optional 3% employer pension on qualifying earnings. Nannies are paid for 52 weeks including holiday. Domestic employers generally can't claim Employment Allowance. An estimate, not tax advice: a nanny payroll provider will confirm your figures.

The rules, briefly
- A nanny can look after children from one or two families at a time, in one of those families' homes. Three or more families at once counts as childminding and needs Ofsted registration.
- Each family is a separate employer and runs its own payroll for its part of the wages.
- To use Tax-Free Childcare, the nanny needs to be on Ofsted's voluntary Childcare Register.
- Care happens in one family's home at any one time. Families agree who hosts and whether the host is paid back for extra food, heating and wear.
Agree these before you start
- Hours, days and how pay splits if your needs differ
- Holidays, and what happens when one family is away
- Sickness: the nanny's, or one of the children's
- Notice, if one family leaves the share
- Food, naps, screens and outings
Safe by design
We don't verify anyone, because we never ask who you are. So the site is built to keep first meetings low-risk instead.
Read how to meet safely- No names, photos, numbers or messages. Nobody can find your home from the site.
- First meet-ups only at busy public places on our list, starting between 9:30am and 3:30pm.
- Everyone promises to meet adults-only first and keep addresses private.
- One report about safety pauses a profile straight away.
- Profiles disappear by themselves after 90 days.

Questions
Why don't you ask for my name or email?
So there's nothing about you to leak, sell or lose. Your private link is your key: keep it safe, and add the calendar feed if you'd like reminders.
What if I lose my private link?
We can't recover it, because we don't know who you are. Start again with new answers; your old profile disappears after 90 days.
Do you check who's on the site?
No, and we can't. That's why first meetings are at public places in daylight, adults only, and why one safety report pauses a profile. Trust your instincts and leave if anything feels off.
Who runs Pairfold?
Pairfold was started by a local parent and is an independent project based in Chiswick. It isn't a nanny agency and it doesn't sell anyone's details: it never has them to sell. The terms of use say who runs it and how to get in touch.
Which areas do you cover?
Pairfold Chiswick covers W4 and the neighbouring parts of W3 (Acton), W6 (Hammersmith) and TW8 (Brentford). A nanny share only works when families live close enough to walk between homes, so we start small and add neighbourhoods one at a time.
Do you find the nanny?
No. Once two families have met and want to go ahead, you recruit and employ the nanny together, directly or through an agency.
What does it cost?
Joining and matching are always free. Meet-ups are free while Pairfold Chiswick gets going. Later they'll cost a small one-off fee per family, and any match made before then will stay free.
